Common questions

Is this legal advice?

No. Plainsight Compliance is a software consulting firm. We produce technical assessments of your website’s conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA — the standard referenced in most ADA web settlements and court decisions. Many clients share our reports with their attorneys; we’re happy to walk counsel through the findings.

Why isn’t an automated checker enough?

Software can only detect a fraction of the barriers that matter — it cannot tell whether a page makes sense in a screen reader, whether keyboard focus gets trapped, or whether your checkout can actually be completed without a mouse. Those are precisely the failures that show up in complaints. That’s why every Plainsight engagement is performed and verified by people using the same assistive technology your customers use.

What do we get at the end?

A written report: compliance score, every verified failure with its WCAG criterion, evidence, the exact elements affected, and a remediation plan ordered by severity and exposure. After you fix, we re-test and issue an updated score.

Can you fix the site for us?

Our reports are written so your existing developers can execute them. If you don’t have a development team, we can scope remediation work separately — ask us.
